Hi, I’m Dieta Scheidecker—author, worship leader, songwriter, and founder of Spoken Flame Company. ​

My multi award-winning debut novel, Sojourners, the first in The Fire and The Serpent series, began my journey as an author and opened the way for all that is still to come. My stories wrestle with truth, deception, and identity—unmasking the lies that distort who we are and pressing toward the deeper truths that set us free. They are rich with allegory, layered to stir both the imagination and the spirit, inviting readers to wrestle with deeper questions long after the final page is turned.

Through Spoken Flame Company, I walk alongside fellow Christian authors who have a message burning in their hearts, offering editing, coaching, and support to help bring those stories to light.

When I’m not hanging out in my hammock or working in my garden, I’ll be on an adventure somewhere—whether it’s off-grid camping, taking a hike, or chasing mountains out West.
